Fleas & Ticks

Garlic

Garlic is a natural repellent for fleas and ticks. I give it to my dogs once a day mixed into their raw food. It is also naturally anticancer, antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial which means less disease for your dog. Be sure to look for organic garlic and cut up 10 minutes before serving so the active compound allicin has time to form. Diatomaceous Earth

Be careful working this into your pets fur. You do not want you or your pet to breathe in the dust as it can cause lung irritation. Otherwise, it is a beneficial powder for killing any pests that crawls into their fur. You may also sprinkle salt in your carpet to help get rid of any current flea infestations. Just make sure there are no water sources near the carpet. You want to dehydrate the fleas.
